About us

Red's Diner was established in 1954 by Ed Glendye (also known as "Red"). They served all homemade food and were famous for their Chef Salads and special recipe for Onion Rings and Fried Chicken. These things are still being served today.

It was passed down to Joan (Glendye) Conrad and then in the spring of 2005 they closed the Diner. In July of 2005, it was purchased by Ron and Kim Barner of Lewistown. To this day they still serve a lot of the same food with the same  recipes that was used in 1954, along with some new menu items. We have 3 generations of Kitchen staff that have been with the Diner for some time and have seen it change through the years Jackie Todaro - 38 yrs , Kay Wray - 371/2 yrs and Melisa Todaro - 3 yrs.

Red's Diner is active in the community. They participate in the annual Boy Scout/Salvation Army food drive and Toys for Tots. Donate to the Mifflin County Christian Academy, Sacred Heart School, and Belleville Mennonite School annual auctions. We also support the annual 4-H Youth livestock auction.
